26. What is a "context" function?Core functions add add value to the organization from the perspective of shareholders and in the way the company differentiates itself from its competitors. "Context" functions are important because they support the core work of the organization. But context functions do not add value. Conversely, context functions can potentially decrease organization value if performance is not adequate, but they will not add value even if they performance is exceptional. Context functions are ideal for outsourcing. |
